Questions and answers
Are my files uploaded?
No. Your browser opens and processes the files on your device. They are not uploaded to our server.
How do I change the order of the files?
Drag a file up or down the list, or use the arrow buttons next to it. The merged PDF follows the order of the list.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Yes, if you know the password. The tool asks for it, uses it only in your browser, and the new file is saved without a password.
Is there a limit on the number of files?
There is no fixed limit. Each file can be up to 1 GB, but everything is processed in your browser’s memory, so very large merges may be slow on older devices.
Is anything lost from the original PDF?
The pages, including text, images and links, are copied as they are. Bookmarks (the outline) and fillable form fields are not carried over to the new file.
