Edit PDF
A free PDF editor that works in your browser: add text, images, your signature, highlights, shapes and drawings to a PDF, and fill in its form fields. The PDF is not uploaded. The editor adds new content on top of the pages; it cannot change text that is already there.
Your files stay on your device. They are processed in your browser and not uploaded.
How to use it
- Drop a PDF on the box above, or choose it from your device.
- Pick a tool such as Text, Image, Signature or Highlight and click on the page.
- Move and resize what you added, then choose "Save as new PDF" and download it.
Questions and answers
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF is opened, edited and saved by your browser on your device. It is not uploaded to our server.
Can I change text that is already in the PDF?
Not yet. The editor adds new content on top of the pages. To replace a word you can cover it with white-out and type over it, but the covered text stays in the file and can still be copied or found by search.
Can I undo a change?
Yes. Use Undo and Redo, or Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z (⌘ on a Mac). Your original file is never changed; you save a new copy.
Does the PDF keep its bookmarks and links?
Yes. Your changes are added to a copy of the original PDF, so its pages, bookmarks, links and other form fields stay as they were.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Yes, if you know the password. The tool asks for it, uses it only in your browser, and the new file is saved without a password.
