Compress images
Make photos and graphics smaller so they load faster and fit email limits. Choose the quality, compare before and after, and download the results one by one or as a ZIP. Location and camera data are removed unless you choose to keep them.
Your files stay on your device. They are processed in your browser and not uploaded.

Questions and answers
Can a compressed file end up larger?
No. If saving again would make an image larger, the tool keeps the original image instead, with its metadata removed.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Your browser opens and processes the images on your device. They are not uploaded to our server.
What happens to the location and camera data in my photos?
It is removed by default. Photos often contain the GPS position where they were taken, the date and the camera’s serial number. You can choose to keep it when saving JPG as JPG.
Can I process many images at once?
Yes. Add as many as you like; several are processed at the same time, and you can download them one by one or together as a ZIP file.
Can I use HEIC photos from an iPhone?
Not yet. The HEIC decoders available are under licences we do not use. On an iPhone, choose Settings › Camera › Formats › Most Compatible, or share the photo as JPG.
